The Independent National Electoral Commission has directed its personnel to suspend further annual leave as preparations intensify for the 2027 general elections.
INEC Chairman, Professor Joash Amupitan, gave the directive during a readiness assessment meeting with staff in Lokoja, Kogi State.
Amupitan warned that negligence, absenteeism, financial misconduct and political partisanship would attract sanctions.
He also directed Resident Electoral Commissioners and administrative secretaries to enforce strict attendance and accountability measures.
