CFR Cluj has officially signed Nigerian international Kenneth Omeruo, as announced by club president Cristi Balaj.

The 31 year old centre-back joins the Romanian club after being released by Turkish side Kasimpasa. Omeruo, who has 69 caps for Nigeria, was brought in to fill the gap left by Andrei Burcă's departure for a lucrative contract in China.

Balaj emphasized Omeruo’s extensive international experience as a crucial factor in the club's decision. Previously, Omeruo spent seven years at Chelsea FC but never made a first-team appearance, having been loaned to several clubs during his tenure.
