AFCON Update, Hosts Morocco punched their ticket to the Africa Cup of Nations final, defeating Nigeria 4-2 on penalties after a gripping 0-0 draw through extra time at Rabat's Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium last night.

Goalkeeper Yassine Bounou saves Samuel Chukwueze and Bruno Onyemaechi's penalties, while Youssef En-Nesyri buried the winner amid wild celebrations.

Captain Achraf Hakimi converted his spot-kick, despite Hamza Igamane's earlier miss.

Morocco now faces top-ranked Senegal in Sunday's showdown, after the Lions of Teranga earlier beat Egypt 1-0 on a Sadio Mane strike.

Walid Regragui's side chases a first AFCON title in 50 years with home roar behind them.
