The National Sports Commission (NSC) Director-General Bukola Olopade, has rejected comments made by former Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh concerning Victor Osimhen and other national team players.

Oliseh had criticized Osimhen’s conduct during Nigeria’s AFCON semi-final loss to Morocco and also described the team’s celebration of a third-place finish as a sign of mediocrity.

Reacting, Olopade said he strongly disagreed with the remarks, stressing that former stars should act as mentors rather than publicly criticise current players.
