Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Shehu Dikko, has assured the Super Falcons that they will receive their outstanding cash rewards for winning the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations despite the delay.
Dikko said President Bola Tinubu approved the payment in August 2025, explaining that the funds are being delayed by government budgetary procedures and are currently being processed by the Ministry of Finance and the Office of the Accountant-General.
He assured the players that the approved rewards will be paid directly into their individual bank accounts once the processing is completed.
