Manchester City have secured a landmark kit deal with Puma worth a reported £1 billion ($1.34 billion) over the next decade, marking the most lucrative kit manufacturing agreement in Premier League history.
The new contract, which extends the partnership between City and the German sportswear giant until 2035, will reportedly see the club earn £100 million annually, a significant increase from the £65 million per year deal signed in 2019.
This staggering figure surpasses the £90 million per year agreement Manchester United inked with Adidas in 2023, and rivals the top deals held by European heavyweights Real Madrid and Barcelona, both reportedly earning over £100 million per year from their kit sponsors.
City Football Group CEO Ferran Soriano praised the partnership, stating, “We joined forces with Puma with the ambition to challenge ourselves and go beyond expectations. We have achieved this and more over the last six seasons. Puma have seamlessly integrated into our organisation, and we have enjoyed many historic moments together, engaging fans globally.”
Puma CEO Arthur Hoeld echoed the sentiment, describing the collaboration as a “great success both on and off the pitch,” highlighting the club’s achievements, global reach, and the strong commercial returns.
The record-breaking deal comes after Manchester City’s 2024–25 campaign, their first season without a major trophy since 2016–17 , as the club looks to reinforce its dominance both commercially and competitively.
