The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has once again excluded Nigerian referees and assistant referees from the list of officials for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), DAILY POST reports.

CAF unveiled a list of 70 match officials for the tournament, comprising 26 referees, 26 assistant referees, and 18 Video Match Officials, drawn from 30 member associations. However, no Nigerian official made the cut.

This continues a worrying trend, as CAF has repeatedly overlooked Nigerian match officials for major international assignments in recent years.

The 2024 edition of CHAN , a tournament reserved for players competing in their domestic leagues, will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda from August 2 to 30, 2025.
