Turkish giants Besiktas have confirmed that Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has arrived in Istanbul to complete his permanent transfer to the club.

The club made the announcement via an official statement on their website, which read:

“The professional footballer Wilfred Ndidi, with whom we have started transfer negotiations, has arrived in Istanbul to continue the talks and undergo a medical examination.”

Ndidi, 28, is expected to be officially unveiled as a Besiktas player later today. He will sign a three-year contract with the Super Lig side.

The move brings an end to Ndidi’s seven-and-a-half-year spell at Leicester City, where he made over 240 appearances and played a key role in the club’s FA Cup triumph in 2021.
