Nigeria’s women’s basketball team D’Tigress defeated Colombia 70-37 in their opening game at the 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup qualifying tournament.
Coach Rena Wakama’s side dominated most of the match after leading 18-12 in the first quarter.
Nigeria will next face South Korea, and will also play Philippines, France, and Germany in the tournament.
